Safe Travels

So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go
'Cause you're leaving on a jet plane
I know when you'll be back again
Although babe, I hate you to go

Woooohoooo It's Raining

Late yesterday afternoon Sydney got a lashing. Loads of lightning, thunder and RAIN. Big fat raindrops which I stood in until I got cold. And it wasn't just a passing afternoon thunderstorm, the rain continued overnight and it's still raining now. We can't say it's broken the drought. We'd probably need a straight month of this before that could happen. Let's keep our fingers crossed it can become reality.

Sad News

The man I last spoke about who was missing in the area where we spent last Easter was found, dead at the bottom of a deep gorge. He was 38 and married and from Sydney. Authorities say he probably died that first night - it was bitterly cold that night on Good Friday and it's impossible to imagine how a seriously injured person would have been able to survive such extreme conditions. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

Friday the 13th

I love Fridays and the number 13. I love Autumn colour and the crispness of the air in the morning. Have a good weekend peoples. And my thoughts are with the man who is lost in the Kanangra Walls area where we were last weekend. I can't imagine anyone having to spend just 1 night out there in that bitter coldness.

4 Day Weekends Should Be Law!

Easter was lovely. We went to Oberon. A small town in the Blue Mountains. We camped. We walked. We picked mushrooms - although they weren't the edible varities. It was freezing cold. The days were sunny and perfectly autumnal. A friend showed us his beautiful land. It was awesome. There is just so much beautiful country it's hard to fathom how one can see it all in one lifetime.

Since Last Time

The water temperature is now much warmer than the night air temperature but I still think dark water looks sharky.

It seems only a small percentage of the population decided to be part of Earth Hour. I think it was a great idea. Reeducation about energy use is now totally necessary. In Sydney from 7.30-8.30pm we were asked to turn off all our lights and all standby electronic products not in use.

Need to see more exhibitions. Need more visual stimulus and input. Need more art in my life.
